Lets Get Ready to Rattle!

Coming April 2020 (dates TBD)

The Mangum Rattle Snake Derby and Festival!

For the vast majority of the year, the tiny town of Mangum, Oklahoma doesn't see a whole lot of action. With a population of just over 3,000 people, this should come as no surprise. Come springtime, however, this quiet Southwestern town not only triples in size - it becomes the go-to destination for snakehunters nationwide. The Annual Magnum Rattlesnake Derby can best be described a cross between a county fair and a semi-dangerous bass-fishing tournament - except for the fact that there are no bass, just ferocious, mean-eyed rattlesnakes. But fear not, because along with these slithery creatures come a slew of delicious food vendors, carnival rides and artisan booths If hunting rattlesnakes is not your idea of a good time, have no fear. The Mangum Rattlesnake Derby is a festival for the whole family and is also home to one of the largest flea markets in Oklahoma. Hundreds of vendors flock to Mangum each year to sell their goods to passing patrons. Browse through booths at the flea market and visit the Arts & Crafts show to pick up a unique souvenir. After shopping, stop by Food Alley and pick up a tasty treat from dozens of available food vendors.

Seeeeee you soon ;)
